There woeseroes a little boy who
was so little that everyone gave him the byname of Little Dumpie.
He had six brothertjes and six sistertjes, his father was a woodhacker
and his mother was working in the householding.
On a given day the mother said: "I hold it no longer out. I work myself
the blubber".
"What are you going to do now" the father said.
"Well" the mother said, "Tomorrow I will bring the whole bubs into
the wood and when we are ver genoeg, we let them in the steek.
But Little Dumpie (which was very pienter en hartstikke by the time)
had heard everything. He slipt out of his bed into the wood and put his
sacks full of kiezelstones.
The next day the olders brought the whole bubs into the wood and as
said when they where ver genoegh they let them in the steek.
The children cryed and cryed. But Little Dumpie said: "Kelm on, kelm
on.....I bring you heelhouds back".
The father was just sitting on the plee as he heard the doorbell klingelen.......
There was the whole bubs again.
A few weeks later the mother said: "I hold it no longer out. I work
myself the blubber".
And so the father said: "What are you going to do now?"
"Well," the mother said: "Tomorrow I will bring the whole bubs into
the wood and when we are ver genoeg we let them in de steek".
But Little Dumpie which was (as said) very pienter and hartstikke by
the time had heard everything. He slipt out of his bed but the door was
on the lock. So he put his sacks full with a packie volkoren Kingkorn (only
you smait away is the verpacking).
The next day the olders brought the whole bubs into the wood and as
said when they where ver genoegh they let them in the steek.
The children cryed and cryed. But Little Dumpie said: "Kelm on, kelm
on.....I bring you heelhouds back". But all that verrekte mushjes had eaten
up the bread.
The children cryed and cryed so Little Dumpie kletterde in a tree and
looked om his heen.....He saw a little lightje..
It was the light of the house from the big rus who likes to eat children
with houd and hair.
Little Dumpie stole the seven miles lears of the big rus and brought
the whole bubs to their home.
The father was just standing by the gardenhekkie with a verrelooker
as he saw the whole bubs coming down of the hill.
There was the whole bubs again....
From now on the olders gave it up and they lived long and happy ;-)
